Extended breastfeeding support consultations (“Mum and Bub”)
Extended postnatal appointments (“Mum and Bub” consults)
Feeding support
Weight gain concerns
Tongue tie assessment, and scissor release if feeding impacted
Infant behavioural concerns
Please note that due to the need to explore both infant and maternal factors, a joint consultation for mother and baby is necessary, with 60 minutes dedicated to getting to know your specific situation and concerns. The infant will be bulk billed if they have been registered by Medicare.
Book via Hotdoc, completing the intake form.
Please indicate you feel this is an urgent appointment, and she will attempt to prioritise.
This may involve an initial phone consultation to gather more information.
Please bring to the consult:
— baby’s green book
— any feeding accessories you use (nipple shields, bottles, pump flanges, pillows)
—you and your infant prepared to feed, if this is something you may need feedback on, and a support person if preferred.
Where possible, please arrange childcare for any older children as they often become restless during this extended consultation, limiting your potential benefits. If not possible we will of course do our best - parenting is so often a juggle !
