Appointment types & Fees
PLEASE NOTE - I am not taking on new patients other than Extended postnatal mother-baby consultations.
Tongue tie and cry-fuss consultations also require the mother to be registered as a patient for comprehensive assessment - see the links below
Cassie values slower, holistic, evidence-based medicine and having the time to connect with patients. Longer consultations are preferred for optimal patient care, but are not well remunerated by Medicare, therefore all consultations are privately billed to cover overhead costs.
As preventative health and care coordination is highly valued, Health Assessments for specified targeted groups, and GP Management Plans for those eligible may be directly billed to Medicare, depending on time required to prepare these.
Further training has been undertaken to understand the complexities of Medicare billing, and additional Medicare items will be utilised where appropriate to lower your out of pocket costs.
Please ensure you are registered for the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) which reduces out of pocket costs by 80% once expenses exceed a certain threshold, for the remainder of the calendar year (see Services Australia website)
Additional fees apply for specific items including Mental Health Care Plans and procedures - please enquire with clinic reception.
