Fees information
PLEASE NOTE - Cassie is transitioning my practice to focus on perinatal care only -this covers pregnancy and the postnatal period.
You will need to see another GP for general health concerns.
Cassie values slower, holistic, evidence-based medicine.
Longer consultations are preferred for optimal patient care, but are not well remunerated by Medicare, therefore all consultations are privately billed to cover overhead costs.
Further training has been undertaken to understand the complexities of Medicare billing, and additional Medicare items will be utilised where appropriate to lower your out of pocket costs - please inform Cassie if you would prefer to only utilise time based consultations.
Please ensure you are registered for the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) which reduces out of pocket costs by 80% once expenses exceed a certain threshold, for the remainder of the calendar year (see Services Australia website)
Postnatal and infant care consultations relating to infant tongue tie and unsettled behaviour also require the mother to be registered as a patient for comprehensive assessment. This will also increase your Medicare rebate.
Telehealth services are available for follow up, but to receive a Medicare rebate for most services, a a face to face consultation within 12 months is required for most services (some exclusions apply, including for infants).
Additional fees apply for specific items including Mental Health Care Plans and procedures - please enquire with clinic reception.
